should be in ODT format for idealism’s sake (though DOC, TXT, and RTF files are also acceptable).  Send up to three unpublished poems or one unpublished story to slingshot@litareview.com with Slingshot Submission in the subject line. 800 words per submission is your best bet. ~1000 is cool too, but no more than 1200 please (fine…but not ONE WORD OVER 1208). You may also send photographs under 500KB in PNG or JPG format. Simultaneous submissions encouraged.
