1 July 2009

(DISPATCH Three, Winter 2007)

Jennifer A. Hudson, whose poem ("Window, Leongatha, VIC, July 1999") was printed on page 114 of the original DISPATCH Three (Winter 2007, published in December 2006), wrote in to report that since that time she has published poetry and short fiction in the Helix, the Broken Plate, Eleutheria: The Scottish Poetry Review, Nefarious Ballerina, and Essence (Scotland-based).

More than that, she was kind enough to furnish perhaps one of the last remaining copies of said issue, which means I only need original issues Two, One, and Zero-Point-Five in order to have a complete archive for when the time comes that I want to post the complete annals.

15 June 2009

The following updates were received between 1 June 2009 and 15 June 2009:

(dispatch one)

Mike Young is going on tour and will be gladly meeting people, selling signed copies of his books, et cetera. Here is the tour schedule. In related news, Young's chapbook MC Oroville's Answering Machine was released by Transmission Press this month.

(dispatch two)

Dave Morrison helped the anthology Riffing on Strings: Creative Writing Inspired by String Theory ( Scriblerus, 2008 ) win a silver IPPY award. The part he played in this achievement can be read here. Of course these are exactly the kinds of things I expect from dispatchers, but all the same, many congrats go out to Dave and the rest of those in the anthology.
